Αrcheological Museum of Thessaloniki

The archeological Museum of Thessaloniki is open to the public during the summer months. You can see great exhibits from the ancient world and culture of Macedonia , the iron age,the role of Thessaloniki as the metropolis of Macedonia but also the special role of gold in the culture of Macedonia through decorated objects .Audiovisual systems, touch screens and video helps you understand the life style of Macedonian cities.

(May 1 to October 31) from Monday at 13:30 until 20:00 and Tuesday –Sunday at 08:00 until 20:00.The ticket cost € 6,00.

Alpha rent a car will inform you about all remarkable placeses in Thessaloniki such as museums and Byzantine churches.

Working Hours:

• 1 April- 31 Oktober
  • Monday: 13.00-19.30,
  • Tuesday-Sunday: 8.00- 19.30
• 1 November- 31 March
  • Monday: 10.30-17.00,
  • Tuesday-Sunday: 8.00- 17.00.
• The museum will be closed: 25 και 26/12, 1/1, 25/3, 1/5 and Easter.
